As promised, here's some of my beginning 3D work from spring 2007! These were just some props I decided on making for our game that semester, Eyn. I modeled them in Maya and did the textures in Photoshop from scratch -- it was good practice, the texturing, but I think I'll begin using photographs as a base when needed!
I was particularly pleased with the sign post, myself.
I've been so busy lately, it's frightening! I thought I'd post some older stuff today.
The following are a bunch of concept sketches I did for our 3D Game Art class last spring; it was slated to be a strategy/tactical RPG along the lines of Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea. We titled it Eyn.
Rough sketch for a mage class
Page full of rough sketches, idea of a Great Tree, shaman class, birds
Rough sketch of a princess/noble character
Rough sketch of a mage/healer class
Same mage/healer design, watercolor over a sketch
I did all of the 2D assets for the game as well; here are some of them!
World map
Title screen
Character icons (the models were by my team mates, not me; I just took screencaps and adjusted them)
Menu boxes
I'm going to shift through my files and post some of my 3D work as well, just you wait and see!
